Dance of Death, van der Leeuw

Dance is a form a ritual for many cultures as well.  In several different cultures there is a dance known as the "dance of death" which has different meanings across different cultures.  In Greece the dance of death was considered to be more symbolic, as to show life as a circle with birth and death.  They had the idea that both death and life dances.  In Egypt they used the dance of death during burials for their kings.  This gave them a form of resurrection which was thought of to happen to their kings.  (Page 44) I wondered if dance can be universal across different cultures to give off the same concepts of death and life.
