It's a Girl! (and that's still beautiful)

Given that my last blog discussed interests concerning the human body and it’s beauty, I figured sequentially I would discuss the beauty in and of which the human form is born. While our pure existence is a testament to the success of reproduction over time, I wonder how the views pertaining to the matter have evolved through generations. While long ago bearing a son meant cultivating the family line, it now means nearly nothing more than having a daughter— at least in America. While in the United States most parents to be claim that indifferent about the baby’s gender for as long as the baby is healthy, in other countries it is quite the contrary. I think that it is incredibly noteworthy that the notion of beauty pertaining to a baby’s gender has broadened in our country as culture has developed in to its current representation. It think it's beautiful how far our country has come with this notion of beauty, how it's not all about to gender anymore as to the amount of happiness and acceptance that parents feel.
