My Choice

While looking through my notes I
came across the definition of beauty we discussed our first class. I noted my
example of beauty to be the beach and had remembered stating that allowed to
the class. I also remembered when prompted to answer what about the beach is
beautiful without a moments thought I blurted “everything”. Shortly after
realizing my mistake I intended to search for an answer and this semester I did
just that.
Without realizing it when I wrote
down the example of the beach I actually had a specific beach in mind. But not
only a specific beach, no I had an exact experience I was brought back to in my
memory. It was my first time in a place like this and I was overtaken by its
beauty. The way the water met the sand, the color of the water, the feel of the
air, it all overtook me in a moments notice. My example of beauty wasn’t the
beach it was that experience one that I immediately attempted to capture as I
was rampaging through my beach bag for my phone. The beauty created by nature
in that moment made time freeze for me.
If it wasn’t for this class I wouldn’t
think twice about my answer when being asked about beauty, but I am so happy
this course made me aware to think about my thinking when being prompted with
these questions.
